ジェフ・レッドは後にHIP HOP/R&B界を牽引するプロデューサー・ユニット：アンタッチャブルズ勢と、R&Bグループ：ジョデシィでデビュー直前のディヴァンテ・スウィングらがプロデュースしたファースト『A Quiet Storm』（Uptown,’90）を発表、“I Found Lovin’”“Love High”などのヒットを放ち大型新人としてデビューした。
ファーストの成功のもと、待望の次作となった‘93年に発表を控えていた『Down Low』は、レーベルMCAがブラック・ミュージック部門を突如閉鎖したことに伴Manhattan/EMIに鞍替え、まずは“Show You”をマーリー・マールとロード・フィネスのリミックスも携えシングルカットするものの、アルバムは発売直前に延期が決定。回収しきれなかった極少数のみ市場に出回りそれっきり…という90s R&Bの歴史の影に隠れたお蔵入りアイテム！　その悲劇とは裏腹に、ニュー・ジャック・スウィングとヒップホップ・ソウルの狭間をゆくプロダクションにジェフの伸びやかな歌声がたまらなく素晴らしい！PヴァインからリイシューCDが出るまでオリジナルはほぼ常時5ケタで取引されてきた幻盤が、この度に奇跡の初LP化で登場です！！
